There are different types of skates for us to choose from.

Before we get to know the types of skates. We have to know for ourselves what kind of fun skating we like. There are mainly 7 types of skating, but today extreme time I would like to share my knowledge about slalom skating with all my skating friends.

1. Freestyle Slalom

Slalom skates are Not all wheels of skates touch the ground. The principle is that the 2 center wheels always touch the ground and The front and rear wheels will not always hit the ground depending on the pressure of the foot. The slalom skates can be slalom shoes in 2 ways:

1.1 Rocket Frame

The Rocket Frame is an adaptation of a skate shoe to a slalom shoe using a frame skate. Or at the connection between the wheel and the skate cuff. The principle of the Rocket Frame is that the nut holes for each skate wheel have different heights from the ground, with the holes in the front and rear wheels being higher. The middle is approximately 2-4 mm, depending on the brand, depending on the model of Rocket Frame, making it possible to put all wheels of the same size. It also makes the front and rear wheels float well, not touching the ground at all wheels.

1.2 Slalom wheel

Slalom wheel is a slalom wheel, and the frame of the skate is normal, the bolt holes are all the same height from the ground. and put the front wheel and the rear wheel smaller than 2 wheels in the middle

2. The hardness of the wheels affects playing slalom.

The most common wheels for inline skates are 80A to 90A, the higher the number, the harder it is. But not all brands overall depend on the material being blended into the wheels. Some 85A models may be harder than another brand's 90A.

Slalom requires a good grip on the ground to ensure playability and safety, so the recommended hardness should be lower than 86A.

3. Slalom should be practiced from the starting position.

Slalom has a table called Rank starting from E D C B A where A is the highest Rank, but getting to A is not easy. But it's not too hard, being able to reach Rank A means that you have good control over your shoes and your legs. The basic pose should start with E, with the pose named Fish,Snake,Cross,Nelson,One leg, need to be fluent before both forward and backward. And do both the left and right legs before continuing to Rank D.

4. Advice for beginners to play slalom

4.1 To start playing slalom It's a good idea to keep your running laps on your skates so you're familiar with your skates. Do not start practicing slalom even if you are not good at skating. You should walk, run, turn and brake smoothly and make sure you can run quickly without falling. therefore began to practice slalom

4.2 Good equipment affects 80% of the initial training, but if the equipment is not ready, it will not be possible to practice even the right runs. If you can reach a high rank, the equipment will only be 20% effect, but the strength, concentration is 80%.

4.3 In addition to practicing slalom techniques Should add muscles such as All the muscles of the legs and abdomen, and the neck that are necessary to fear for good balance on wheels.

However, safety must always come first. May everyone enjoy skating slalom. You can ask for more knowledge here Extreme Time.
